How do I make an account to access Virtual JCC?
How do I access premium content?
Premium content is accessible by active paying members of the Schwartz/Reisman Centre or Prosserman JCC. If your membership was active prior to the Covid-19 shutdown, you are still considered an active member. If you are not currently a member, and want to join, please contact [email protected].
What technical requirements do I need to access Virtual JCC?
Virtual JCC works across all devices. Desktop computers, tablets (iPads, etc), and phones (iPhone, Android). All you need is an internet connection.
Does it cost anything to participate?
You can use Virtual JCC for free. You do need an account to login, but registering is quick, easy and free. There is Premium content that is exclusive to paying members.
How do I link my Active Membership ID to my Virtual JCC account to access “Premium” content?
Login to your account on srcentre.ca or prossermanjcc.com. From the “My Account” area you can link your membership number. If you don’t know your membership number, there’s no need to worry. You can easily get it emailed to you from within your account. Watch this video for more help linking your membership: https://srcentre.ca/help.
Make sure you login to Virtual JCC with the same email address.
I can’t attend a live streaming event. Will it be repeated? Is there a way to watch it later?
Most of the live streams are recorded and then later available “on demand”. So, if you miss a live stream, don’t worry! Just keep checking back for a recording of the live stream to be posted on Virtual JCC. Also be sure to look at the upcoming live streams for similar topics.
Can I ask a question during a live stream?
Yes! Well, sometimes. Live streams are hosted on a variety of platforms. Many of them allow for real-time commenting and the ability to ask questions. In some live streams, you can even share your webcam so everyone can “see” you ask the question. Our goal is to create engagement in the virtual world, so we’ll be working hard to make sure live events are interactive.
What types of content will be available?
Virtual JCC is going to be home to a wide variety of content available for the entire community to enjoy. The content catalog will be growing as we add more and more. We’re also calling on all content creators to help contribute. Click here to learn more. Is there a certain type of content you’d like to see, let us know.
What’s the difference between ‘live’ and ‘on demand’?
Live streams are virtual programs that will be happening in real time. They are scheduled for a specific date and time, which you can see in the program listing on Virtual JCC. During a live stream, you can interact with the presenter(s) and others. On Demand is a pre-recorded video that you can watch at any time whenever you want simply by pressing ‘play’. Usually a live stream will later be made available for on demand viewing. On Virtual JCC you can check or uncheck the filters at the top of the screen to show or hide the different types of content.
What’s the difference between ‘free’ and ‘premium’ content?
Free content is available to everyone. You still need to login with your account to view the free content. Premium content is exclusive to active members of the Schwartz/Reisman Centre or Prosserman JCC. (If your membership was active before the Covid-19 closure, you are considered an active member.)
How do I find a specific video that I heard about?
You can optimize the search tab by typing in the name of the video or instructor. You can also browse through the category, the video might be found under.
I’d like to host a live session. Is that an option?

Can I download a video that I love to watch again?
We’re so happy you loved a video and want to watch it again. You can always come back to Virtual JCC and re-watch a video again (and again...and again!). Videos are not available for download.
