Earth Rangers LIVE Animal Meet and Greet!
Earth Rangers LIVE Animal Meet and Greet!
Earth Rangers is the kids’ conservation organization, dedicated to educating children and their families about biodiversity, inspiring them to adopt sustainable behaviours, and empowering them to become directly involved in protecting animals and their habitats. Join our presenters Kyla and Catherine as they explain what it means to be an Earth Ranger. You’ll also get a chance to meet the amazing animal Ambassadors Draco and Sonic!
Draco is a Caiman Lizard. Known for their distinctive red or orange head and green scaled bodies, you can find Caiman Lizards living in flooded forests and swampy areas of South America in areas such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. They have a long, laterally flattened tail that helps them to swim very quickly as it works as a really good propeller in the water. On land, they can whip their tails back and forth to give a predator a good punch.
Sonic is a Barn Owl. Barn owls were given that name a very long time ago because they would build their nests in old wooden barns. This beautiful bird species has also been known by other names like ghost owl, because farmers used to mistake these owls for ghosts haunting their barns. They have also been known as heart-faced owl, because they have a distinct feather line that encircles their face.
Kyla and Catherine will also show you the brand-new Earth Rangers App and share a special code to unlock 25 bonus points to help you level up.
